Film Synopsis


Chloe and Olivia, childhood friends, reunite for a weekend camping trip near Serenity Lake, only ​to find their peace shattered by the dark secrets of Forest Haven Asylum. Driven by urban ​legends and a long-lost journal belonging to Chloe's Great-Aunt Janis, they uncover the asylum's ​grim past. Their exploration turns into a nightmare when they are stalked and terrorized by Billy, ​a mysterious former patient. Guided by ghostly whispers from the dark forest, they must ​confront their families' unsettling secrets and the asylum's buried sins. Amidst the revelation of ​secrets and an intense adventure, their friendship will be put to the ultimate test.

Will they survive long enough to hear the ghosts' secrets, or will they become yet ​another victim of the asylum's sinister history?

Chloe is a cautious, introspective, and intelligent young woman ​in her early twenties. She has lived her whole life in the same ​small town in the Pacific Northwest. After high school, she ​attended the local community college and started working part-​time at the town library. Her deep-rooted connection with her ​hometown has made her familiar with all its local legends, ​including the tales of the old asylum. She's an avid reader, ​particularly fond of mystery and horror genres. While she's ​always been intrigued by these stories, she's never quite ​believed in them. Despite her logical and rational mindset, she ​is wary of the old asylum site and prefers to stay clear of it.

A college student from a small town in the Pacific ​Northwest. Chloe is reconnecting with her childhood best ​friend Olivia after years apart. Chloe stumbles upon an ​old journal belonging to her great-aunt Janis, who was a ​nurse at a local, now-defunct asylum. She has returned to her hometown ​to attend college, feeling nostalgic for her ​childhood. Always seeking adventure, she is very ​interested in the historical aspects of mental ​health treatment, especially the grim history of the ​local asylum. Olivia is eager to explore the old ​asylum site out of curiosity and a touch of ​defiance, believing the haunting rumors to be mere ​superstitions.
